This event is going to be a lot of fun!  There are 2 friends (1 local and 1 in Tennessee) that are completing against one another to see who can raise the most money for a cancer organization and the loser has to shave her head. 

The funds raised will be split with the Pretty In Pink Foundation.

Shaving For Chere

Hello all Love Is Bald supporters!!!

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner!! I know a lot of people have asked if we are doing another shave event? The answer is YES, but it's going to be a little different this year!! All the funds raised will stay local, right here in Wilmington for a young lady going through treatment right now, Chere Rice. She is fighting non hodgkins lymphoma & we want to help her as much as we can!!

So this year's event will be called... Shaving For Chere!! We are absolutely thrilled to announce this event & will be sending out more information & details very soon!!

A tremendously large THANK YOU to everyone who took their Saturday and came out to support Love is Bald in one way or another.  Whether you played volleyball, donated a raffle item, purchased a raffle ticket or a silent auction item, registered with Be the Match, or were a corporate sponsor, your contribution did not go unnoticed.  We are so grateful to be supported by so many wonderful people and organizations.

The 2nd Annual LOVE is BALD volleyball tournament starts tomorrow, September 17, 2011 at Capt'n Bills in Wilmington, NC.  Lots of GREAT raffle items.  Supporting a great cause, the NHRMC Hospitality House.  See you there!

Thank you to Chere Rice & Michael Braxton for the Fashion Show at Level 5, held Thursday night, September 15.  LOVE is BALD raised $1302!!!  What a great way to start the weekend!

Volleyball Tournament!!!

Save the date folks, LOVE is BALD will be hosting their first fund-raising event for 2010. At Captain Bill's in Wilmington, NC on May 1 there will be a 6-man sand volleyball tournament. Allen played in a tournament there last year and had a blast. There will be prizes and a raffle - and for all those that have holding out for LOVE is BALD t-shirts, they will FINALLY be available!!!
